What a Busy Week for WAS

Wow – is it really only Friday? We have been on the go all week this week, focusing on rugby again.

On Monday Neil Back completed a podcast with the Rolling Maul, Leicester Tigers fan podcast. What was supposed to be a 20 minute chat about the November event went on for 45 minutes as Neil told stories and shared his views on the Leicester Tigers season, potential for play-offs and Freddie Stewards sending-off last weekend.

On Wednesday, he went through a similar routine with BBC Radio Leicester, with Adam Whitty carrying out the interview with a very similar script.

Of course for us, we were delighted he was able to talk about the event in November, explaining that this is all about saying thank you to the fans, because as Backy says “without them we have no club, and without the club we wouldn’t be where we are today”. In November all the 7 England players want to speak to the fans, get their stories, as much as sharing their own. If you want to join us please go to………for more info!!

On Thursday, Martin went to the Rosslyn 7’s, which is the largest Schools rugby tournament in the country. A heavy bias toward supporting Hartpury College U18’s proved worthwhile as they ended up becoming National Champions, so his step-daughter Abbie, who played in every game, was also delighted and didn’t let the awful weather dampen their spirits.
