World After Sport (WAS) are committed to supporting charities, organisations and individuals who give so much to sport for the pleasure and pride of supporters, and to the country.

Here at World After Sport we will always look to give back and our commitment is to do just that.

Every year we will commit to:

  • giving a set percentage of our profits back to our chosen charity/charities
  • attend events that will help raise the profile of the charities
  • Host our own events that will raise money for great causes.

Below are just a couple of examples of how we support, and how you can contact us to discuss possibly helping you.

Matt Hampson

Matt Hampson Foundation

In 2020, to kick off the business, we agreed to appoint the Matt Hampson Foundation, a charity very close to our heart, as our first official charity of choice. The foundation is built off the back of Matt’s own personal tragedy incurred playing the sport he loved, which was rugby.

Matt, now a quadriplegic, took the injury as an opportunity to give back. He has recently opened his own Get Busy Living centre, which supports people who have also been through life changing situations and can go somewhere to talk, share experiences and get fit through specially designed training.

We are proud to be able to work with Hambo and his team, and look forward to doing more once the Covid-19 situation calms

Tom Smith

Former Scotland International, and British and Irish Lion, went to hospital with stomach pains in 2019. During the scan it was found he had Stage 4 colon cancer, a tragic assessment for someone previously so fit.

World After Sport hosted an event in February 2020 as part of the England Legends v Ireland Legends fixture, raising £4000 to support Tom and his family at this time.

Hot off the press in Aug 2020 we are delighted to confirm that his latest scan shows that the cancer markers have gone down further, which is such great news.

Can World After Sport Help Your Cause?

Every year we will review our Charity and Community programme and look to support different sporting charities. If you think we can help your charity raise awareness and any much needed funds, please do feel free to contact us and we can discuss in more detail.

We will of course also consider any ad-hoc requests to help, esp where a club or individual has gone through an un-planned situation and you feel we can help.
